Fundraise at work

We help local people face incurable illness and bereavement, supporting them and their families, friends and carers. To do so we rely heavily on the help and generosity of local businesses, both big and small.

Our dedicated fundraising team is always looking for new corporate partners in north Essex who are interested in the vital care and support we provide to members of our community, and who are keen to get involved and build a relationship with us.

As well as helping us, getting involved can be good for your company too:

  • It’s been proven that association of working with a high profile and regarded charity can increase sales due to enhanced customer loyalty.
  • Demonstrating your organisation is committed to supporting the local community can help build your brand and reputation.
  • Let’s add a bit of fun into the week, fundraising can improve employee motivation amongst colleagues and help develop team working skills!
  • We have a number of opportunities to promote and advertise your company.

Our fundraising team love to build relationships with businesses in the surrounding area. How can your company help? The list of ways is unlimited!

Hiscox in Colchester is one of our long term corporate supporters. In 2020 the team raised £10,000 through various activities, with some taking part in the Virtual Midday Walk and others tackling the Nuclear Race; plus some virtual fundraising during lockdown. In 2021, one of their colleagues is taking on the iconic London Marathon in aid of the hospice. We are incredibly grateful for their support and the £10,000 they have raised could provide care and support to 200 families in crisis in the depth of night with a home visit from a SinglePoint nurse.

The ways you can help us are only limited by what you can come up with, however some examples of how you can get involved include:

The Birkett Long £50 Challenge

Use your team’s entrepreneurial skills to develop and deliver innovative and fun ways to turn £50 into hundreds or maybe even thousands for St Helena Hospice.

Charity of the year

Increasingly, companies and charities are seeing the benefits of working with a select local charity partner. We can help your teams develop skills, increase brand awareness and help meet corporate social responsibilities whilst you can help us by fundraising!

Corporate volunteering

Assemble a team and help sort donations, share your skills supporting our office staff, or get hands on by helping with some decorating, gardening or maintenance at the hospice. Whatever skills your team has, we've got a volunteering opportunity to suit!

Sponsor an event or fundraising campaign

Promote your brand and become a corporate sponsor. We have lots of different fundraising campaigns for you to get involved in.

Host a collection pot

A fantastic way to support us all year round, hosting a collection pot enables your staff and customers to easily donate to St Helena Hospice.

Payroll Giving

Set up Payroll Giving to allow your employees to donate to the causes they care about, straight from their pay. Donations are taken before tax, which means we receive more from the donation and it costs your employees less.
