Our Hospice in the Home service relies on the regular income we get from local people playing the lottery. As part of this service our community nurse specialists give emotional support and practical advice to patients and families in their own homes across north Essex, using their expert knowledge in pain and symptom control to help people with incurable illness to live well with dignity
There are a number of ways to sign up to play every week:
Sign up online with Your Hospice Lottery
By direct debit for as little as £4.34 a month.
To pay over the phone please call the Your Hospice Lottery office on 0800 285 1390 to arrange your membership.
You can pay by debit card when you sign up online or call the Your Hospice Lottery office on 0800 285 1390.
You can also pay by cheque - £13 quarterly, £26 bi-annually or £52 annually.
As we are a lottery we do not accept credit cards.
Whether you're a long-term supporter and feel like increasing your chances as the rollover gets higher, or you're just feeling lucky, you can purchase single tickets to enter into the draw for just one week. Each ticket costs £1 per entry.
The draw usually takes place every Friday - Please check the countdown on the
website for specific cut off time. If you purchase after this time, you will be entered
into the following draw.
Winning cheques are sent by post after the draw, so you don't need to make a claim for your prize if you win, but you can check your numbers on the Your Hospice Lottery website here
Our Your Hospice Lottery team work to recruit players from the local community. We rely on this activity to ensure we continue to sign up new players and receive this valuable income year on year. Since Covid-19, we have introduced telesales and have also recommenced face to face recruitment in venues and door to door to maintain this essential income.to maintain this essential income.
Please note calls are made Monday to Saturday between the hours of 9am and 6pm. Agents may call you a maximum of twice a day (with a minimum 4 hour gap) and a total of 6-8 times.

In line with data protection regulations, it is possible to request the exact opt-in journey on how your details were captured. To do so we need your contact details which we will share with the data company (via the telemarketing agent). They will then contact you directly to discuss your request.
If you are not happy to receive the call, simply advise the agent. You will be instantly added to a ‘do not call list’ and your details are removed.
You may also wish to register with the Telephone Preference Service to avoid receiving calls like these all together. This process can take up to 28 days before calls cease. We will be able to request a log of exactly when you were called and also listen to the actual call. We take concerns extremely seriously and will always do our best to deal with these types of queries straight away.

Read stories DonateWhen you make a donation to St Helena Hospice, we are charged transactional fees by other companies, including fees for processing payments made to us, looking up addresses and validating bank account details.
We are very grateful to our donors who offer to offset some of these fees with a minor addition to their total amount. This is however completely optional and we are very grateful for your support whether or not you choose to contribute to processing fees.
