Deaf or hard of hearing British Sign Language (BSL) users can contact us via our website using a BSL Live button. This will connect you to a Registered BSL interpreter from the SignVideo relay service who will interpret the call.

We also have on-demand video remote interpreting which means staff will be able to communicate with deaf residents/visitors as and when needed on the spot. 

This service is available 24/7 365 days a year.

Creation Station in support of St Helena
Creation Station in support of St Helena offers a wide range of hands-on art and craft classes and groups for adults and children of all ages across Colchester and surrounding areas.

100% of the profits from Creation Station Colchester goes back to St Helena.

Cash or cheque donations can be made at the fundraising office during the above hours. 

If you are posting a cheque donation please include a note including your details and let us know how or why you are making the donation so that we are able to thank you and register your donation correctly. Do not send cash in the post.

Visiting the hospice

There are currently no set visiting times at the Hospice and you are free to visit anytime you wish throughout the day or night.

However, if you are showing symptoms of Covid-19 and/or feeling unwell, please do not visit the Hospice.

We are always looking to improve our services and we welcome your feedback. The processes for reporting your comments, complains and concerns to us differs between departments,

Clinical services comments, complaints and concerns procedure

Comments, complaints or concerns can be raised confidentially with any member of staff, or the Director of care, and as part of the process, we will agree with you how you would like your concern managed. Comments, complaints or concerns can be made in the following ways:

It is not mandatory to give your contact details, however if you do not give us your details, we cannot respond to you. 

Our complaints procedure and concerns procedure can be read here and this includes what you should do if you are unsatisfied with the outcome of your complaint.

Complaints can also be made directly to the Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board (ICB) Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) team at their website.
