This is a 15 hour per week role within our Education team. You will work Wednesdays and Thursdays 9am to 5pm.

To provide education and training for all three local hospices (50%) and external to the hospice (50%) by:

• Providing training within and beyond the hospice, to other organisations such as care homes, care agencies and hospice staff.
• Planning sessions, sharing specialist knowledge, developing new topics to meet identified unmet needs in Palliative and end of life care.
• Managing and delivering webinars, face to face and hybrid sessions across SNEE.
• Supporting and developing education programmes, competencies for hospice staff and responding to urgent or individual training needs if they arise.
• Providing moving and handling sessions for hospice staff.
• Supporting staff with growth mindset, reflective practice and professional boundaries.

What we’re looking for

An individual willing and able to support colleagues and health care professionals to achieve best practice in palliative and end of life care, whether this is in a hospice, hospital, care home or care agency. To demonstrate a positive attitude in all that they do, with a growth mindset and a willingness to undertake professional development, learn new skills and work as part of a team. 

Self-motivated, effective and efficient, meeting deadlines and creating fun, innovative and interesting training sessions.

Must have a professional qualification in health & social care NVQ 3 or above.
Must have Full UK Driving Licence.
