After the sudden closure of St Helena’s much loved Books and Coffee shop their Halstead branch has stepped up to provide a new home for the great reads.
The Halstead media shop is relaunching on Monday 23rd July at 9am as a replacement bookshop.
Whether customers are itching to get their hands on a preloved best seller, looking to track down a rare book or perhaps find a holiday read – the shop will house a wide collection of second-hand books available to purchase. The range will include everything from classic children’s books to fiction, sci-fi, travel and rom-coms.
The store will still have a small array of media including pre owned CDs and DVDs for enthusiasts to browse.
Alongside its high street branches, St Helena also sells high value goods on its online outlets including eBay and Amazon. To support the online stores, the Halstead shop will now provide an Amazon area for shoppers to see the online items in person before making their sale.
Shoppers are reminded that just a few steps away is the St Helena Halstead High Street shop which sells a wide range of clothing, accessories and bric-a-brac.
“We were devastated to share the sad news with our supporters that our Books and Coffee shop was having to close but we are pleased that we are able to provide an alternative home for our vast library of books.” commented Ian Daniels, Head of Retail at St Helena
He continued: “The shop is the perfect location to browse a wide range of books alongside giving the unique opportunity for online shoppers to see Amazon items before making their sale. We’re excited to welcome our supporters to the relaunch of our shop.
