Hospice Wills Month returns in September

Make or amend your Will this September as part of St Helena Hospice Wills Month and help local people face incurable illness and bereavement.

Throughout September, participating local solicitors across north east Essex are waiving their usual fee and will write or amend a basic or mirror Will, in return for a donation to St Helena Hospice.

Having a Will is really important, whatever your age or circumstances. Making a Will can allow you to ensure your affairs are in order; final wishes are met; your loved ones are looked after in the future; and to support the charities close to your heart.

Fliss Klarner, fundraising manager at St Helena Hospice, said: “If you haven’t made your Will yet or you need to update it, this September is the perfect time to do so. We are hugely grateful to the four local solicitors who are waiving their usual fees to write or amend a Will and instead asking for a suggested donation to St Helena Hospice. All the money raised from Wills Month will go towards ensuring more local people can receive the comfort, dignity and compassion they deserve, right to the end of life.

“1 in 5 patients and families cared for by St Helena Hospice are supported by donations made from gifts in Wills. Every gift pledged in a Will, large or small, will help St Helena Hospice to be here for future generations that follow in our footsteps. When the time is right for you to remember a charity in your Will, please remember St Helena Hospice.”

Participating solicitors include: Birkett Long, Goody Burrett, John Fowlers and Fisher Jones Greenwood.

Appointments can only be booked direct with your chosen solicitor and are available from Monday 30th August to Friday 1st October 2021. See the list of participating solicitors and their contact details and to find out more
