Join us at our Walk of Memories to remember someone special to you.
This new event will take place on Sunday 7th July in the beautiful setting of West Mersea, starting and finishing on the beach.
You can choose to walk either 1 mile or 5 miles along a signposted, circular route, taking in the stunning seaside and countryside surroundings along the way.
Everyone who signs up will be given your own memory windmill, which you can personalise with a message or picture to your loved one(s).
Registration opens at 8.30am and the event will begin with an in-memory service on the beach at 9.30am and at the end of the service you will have the opportunity to plant your windmill in the sand. As you return from your walk, you can collect your windmill to take home or leave it with us to take back to The Hospice to plant in our garden for a week after the event.
There will also be plenty of family friendly activities to enjoy at our event village before the walk, so if you’d rather not attend the in-memory service, there will be activities to keep you occupied.
All ages are welcome and this event is dog friendly. Unfortunately, both routes are unsuitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
Registration is now open, sign up below…
