Calling all super heroes! Walk or run 1km, 5km or 10km as your favourite comic hero!
This event is a fantastic excuse for you, your family and friends to grab your capes and masks to raise money in aid of St Helena. Every penny raised will allow us to help local people face incurable illness and bereavement.
With 3 routes to choose from, there's something for everyone! Comic hero themed warm ups will take place before each event and times of each race will be confirmed closer to the event.
So what are you waiting for!? Grab the Batman to your Robin and come along!
Online registration has now closed, but you can still come along and pay on the day.

Routes
We have 1km, 5km or 10km routes available. View the routes in advance here.
The 10km route is two laps of the 5km and remains within the park apart from one small section which goes outside Lower Castle Park for a short distance. The 1km is suitable for all ages and abilities. All routes will be signposted and marshalled on the day.
Please be aware that the venue is a public park and will still be open to the general public on the day. There are likely to be other visitors such as pedestrians, dog walkers and cyclists around during the event, so we do ask that you take this into consideration on the day and remember it’s not a race, but a fun run to raise much needed funds for St Helena.
Prices on the day
10k: £25 adults only (age 16+)
5k: £20 adults (16+), £10 children (age 5-15 inc) £45 family (2 adults/ 2 children or 1 adult/3 children)

Parking
The closest car park to Castle Park is Greyfriars in Castle Road which is accessed via Roman Road from East Hill, Colchester.
Clothing
We encourage everyone to dress for the theme and come as your favourite Comic Hero but remember to wear appropriate footwear for running or walking the routes.
Dogs
We would love your human supporters to come along and be part of the day; however, dogs are not permitted around the race start area and are restricted to the lower park area. The route covers both the Upper Park and the Lower Park, therefore to avoid any confusion, we advise you to leave your furry friends at home.
Sponsorship and prizes to be won!
We rely heavily on the help and generosity of our fundraisers, donors and volunteers. Without you we wouldn’t be here.
So why not become a real super hero and raise the much needed sponsorship by taking part in Comic Hero Run.
What could your sponsorship pay for?
£50 could pay for one session of our Art and Craft Group, where patients have a valuable opportunity to come together in a friendly environment for support from peers and professionals.
