Think you’ve got what it takes for an all-day, all-night gaming marathon? Put your skills to the test and take on our 24 Hours of Gaming challenge!

This November is an exciting month for us gamers. With the release of the next generation of consoles and a whole host of new games on the way, I’m sure most of us will be spending even more time at our battle stations over the next few weeks.

That is why St Helena Hospice is challenging you to a 24 hour gaming marathon to help support local people facing incurable illness and bereavement, so make sure your controller is charged, your Wi-Fi connection is strong, and you have plenty of snacks; because it’s time to get in the zone.

We can’t promise that beating that level, or winning your Gulag at 4:13am is going to be easy… but signing up is! Here’s how:

  1. Pick a date to take on the challenge. Maybe see when a new game is launching and get ahead of the competition by playing for 24 hours straight from release!
  2. Follow the link below to set up a GivePenny page to collect your sponsorship. Build your own fundraising page where you can add a fundraising goal, personal story, track your progress, and even link to your Twitch account!
  3. Why not stream it? Budding streamer or looking to jump-start your Twitch career? Why not stream your 24 Hours of Gaming challenge and let us know so that we can shout you out. Just mention us on Twitter (@StHelenaHospice) and be sure to use the hashtag #StHelena24.
  4. Spread the word! Let your family and friends know what you’re doing and how they too can support their local hospice by sponsoring your all-nighter.
  5. Fuel up! Make sure you get plenty of rest the night before and have enough water and snacks to keep you going throughout your challenge. It’s also important to rest, so remember to take regular breaks between games to stretch and move around.
  6. GAME ON. Whether you’re trying to take Woking from the Conference to the Champions League in 6 seasons, or gearing up for deployment to the Warzone – you’ve got this.

Please note: 24 Hour Gaming is only open to participants aged 18 and over. St Helena Hospice takes the safety and wellbeing of children seriously. If you are under 18 would like to fundraise to help local people face incurable illness and bereavement, we have lots of ideas on our website here, or alternatively contact our fundraising team on 01206 931468 to discuss your plans.

Streaming your 24 Hours of Gaming challenge!

Twitch had 3.8 million unique broadcasters over February 2020, were you one of them? Or perhaps YouTube or Facebook is your go-to platform. Either way, we want you to stream your challenge this November to help us reach more people, and raise more money to support patients and families being cared for at The Hospice and at home.

Want to be the next Ninja or Shroud? This is the perfect opportunity to kickstart your stream. Charity streams and challenges are a great way to attract new viewers and help to raise more money for your local hospice through donations and subscriptions.

To help, we’ve created a stream package to give your stream that professional look, and to let viewers know what’s going on. Included you will find:
