Join us to remember those we love and miss this Christmas by dedicating a light in their memory.
Please come along to our Light up a Life event on Thursday 14th December where our hospice garden and Christmas tree will be lit up to honour and remember loved ones at this special time of year.
Our Light up a Life event will take place on Thursday 14th December 2023 in the St Helena Hospice garden, Myland Hall, Barncroft Close, Highwoods, Colchester, CO4 9JU.
The event will include a Christmas light switch on in memory, a reading from our spirituality team lead Tim, Christmas carols and some delicious festive refreshments. At the service you will also receive a remembrance booklet with your dedication included.
Christmas can be a time to cherish, and for many people facing incurable illness it may be their last opportunity to create memories together with their loved ones. Your generous support can help make this Christmas a comforting experience for them. Everyone deserves the chance to experience the joy of one last Christmas.
To ensure your dedication to your loved one is included in our Christmas remembrance booklet, please ensure you make your donation and dedication by Friday 8th December 2023.

When you make a donation to St Helena Hospice, we are charged transactional fees by other companies, including fees for processing payments made to us, looking up addresses and validating bank account details.
We are very grateful to our donors who offer to offset some of these fees with a minor addition to their total amount. This is however completely optional and we are very grateful for your support whether or not you choose to contribute to processing fees.
CloseWe are able to claim an extra 25p on every £1 on your donation amount for no extra cost to you, as long as you are a UK tax payer; have paid enough income tax or capital gains tax in that tax year; and are donating your own money. If you pay less income tax and/or capital gains tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all of your donations in that tax year it is your responsibility to pay any difference.
