Hospice nurses help make every memory matter. Please Sponsor a Nurse today.
St Helena has over 100 nurses, supporting local people in the community and at the Hospice, which is our biggest cost. We receive two thirds of our funds from our community, for example from donations, and only a third of our funding comes from the NHS.
Our services run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year across north east Essex to provide vital care for patients and their families who need comfort, care and advice.
Becky is a Community Clinical Nurse Specialist. She visits local people who are living with an incurable and progressive illness, supporting them and their loved ones in their own homes at a difficult time.
A small gift to St Helena can help our nurses make a big difference for someone like Tracy. It could mean she can stay at home where she wants to be, cuddled up on the sofa with her dog, Stella, and continuing to take part in family life. Or it could mean someone staying at The Hospice can be taken out into the garden in their bed to feel the sun on their face, smell the fragrant flowers and hear the birds singing. Or it might mean a comforting hand to hold when someone has to say goodbye to the person they love.
Please help us to be there for local people when they need us, by sponsoring a St Helena nurse.
