One donation, twice the impact
Mummy really liked butterflies and lots of butterflies always landed on her head. She always said that butterflies make her happy so I made a Christmas decoration for her with them on and I made a Christmas star.
Children at our family bereavement group made Christmas decorations to remember a parent or loved one.
The Big Give Christmas Challenge 2018 has now closed. If you would like to donate to St Helena please visit our donate page.
We offer Bereavement Support to family and friends of people who were cared for by St Helena, and we extend our help to anyone in our community who may be experiencing grief, perhaps through the sudden death of a loved one.
We’ve all got something in common; we’ve all had a partner die. We can say anything here without judgement.
Grief is a very personal experience so we offer a range of tailored support for adults and children.
Yet today there are 180 people in our community waiting for much needed Bereavement Support, either for triage, group support, a counsellor or for a bereavement visitor.
But you can make a difference for the price of a festive gift. For example by donating £20 it will be worth £40 to us, which could pay for a bereavement counsellor for an hour to support a person after the death of a loved one. And £200 will be worth £400 - that's 10 hours.
I am sending my Christmas wishes via a donation through the Big Give Christmas Challenge. St Helena offered us all bereavement support when we really needed it.
